What is Heritage Youth of America?
Heritage Youth of America is a youth organization that focuses on personal growth, citizenship and building leadership skills through agriculture and the skills used by our forefathers. We provide a platform for youth to learn about parliamentary procedure, agriculture science, and develop hands-on skills through collaborative projects while serving our community.
What age group does Heritage Youth of America serve?
Heritage Youth of America serves youth aged 7 to 18. Our programs are designed to cater to various age groups, ensuring that all participants can engage in meaningful learning experiences. Little Pioneer groups serve youth aged 5-7.
What types of projects do members participate in?
Members participate in a variety of projects that focus on agriculture, community service, and leadership development. These projects include hands-on activities, educational workshops, and monthly meetings where parliamentary procedure is practiced.
Is there a membership fee to join?
There is a $5 membership fee to join Heritage Youth of America. We believe in making our programs accessible to all youth, regardless of their financial situation so we desire to keep our dues reasonable. Dues support our national organization that is ran by volunteers and manages the administration of our 501c3 organization.
How can parents support their children in this organization?
Heritage Youth of America is dedicated to empowering youth through hands-on agricultural projects and educational programs. We focus on developing leadership skills, teamwork, and a deep appreciation for the heritage of the United States. Our members, aged 7-18, engage in various activities that promote community involvement and personal growth, ensuring a well-rounded experience for all participants.
How can I get involved with the organization?
To get involved with Heritage Youth of America, you can contact us through email and we will get you the information to start a camp in your area. We welcome youth aged 7-18 to join our programs, and we also encourage parents and community members to participate as volunteers or mentors. Some camps have started Little Pioneer camps for younger siblings or children who are too young to join HYA.
