HYA Camps
Little Pioneers
HYA Camps are local groups that meet monthly to organize the local level events and projects. Each camp is in charge of its own bank account and programs. Officers are elected annually and members learn parliamentary procedure to make motions and vote on the business of the camp. Informational packets are available for those wanting to learn more on how to run a camp meeting. The primary goal of a HYA camp is to teach members how to run a business meeting and learn skills that they will use for a lifetime. Community service is another focus of the HYA camp. Learning how to serve others and better your community is a benefit to everyone.
Little Pioneers are the local groups for youth ages 5-7. We found that there was a need for a program for younger siblings and younger children interested in joining Heritage Youth of America so Little Pioneers was formed. They meet monthly alongside the established HYA camp and have learning activities that are age-appropriate. If the HYA camp is doing a community service project or has an educational presentation that the Pioneers can join in, they will work alongside each other with the older members guiding and assisting younger members.

Youth Programs
Our youth programs empower participants to engage in projects, fostering teamwork and leadership skills. We focus on hands-on learning where our members can see the fruit of their labor. Through monthly meetings and group projects, lasting friendships are formed.

Skills Development
Hands-on skills prepare youth for future challenges and emphasize practical knowledge. Skills learned cover a wide range of topics from agriculture to engineering and beyond. The skills learned today can be used for a lifetime.

Community Service
Through various community service projects, youth gain valuable experiences with people in their communities and knowledge of different ways of living. They learn that serving their community and those around them leads to a better future for everyone.
